Looking for a Yoga class near you?
I offer classes in Trauma Sensitive and Dru Yoga
in Benalla, Wangaratta, Shepparton, and surrounding areas
Welcome to Ióga Care and Connections. The day to day demands and the pace of modern life can leave us feeling somewhat drained and with little time for ourselves. Yoga can be a great opportunity to set aside your daily demands and focus on your breath, your body, and your mind, joining all the pieces together to help you feel balanced and energised again and ready to face the daily demands. I offer a range of practices to support your journey, including therapeutic classes for trauma healing and back care, as well as general classes for health, care, connection and wellbeing.
I’M ALL ABOUT
What I do
Trauma Sensitive Yoga
Trauma can impact your relationships with yourself and others.
Trauma Sensitive Yoga practice can look and feel quite different to a regular yoga class.
The intention of a trauma sensitive yoga session is to create a safe, predictable, and non-judgmental space to provide opportunities to explore internal experiences and your relationship with your body.
This practice of yoga is a way to safely reconnect with yourself in a safe, supportive, and caring environment to promote and enable healing opportunities.
Dru Yoga has its roots in Hatha yoga and includes classical yoga postures (asanas), pranayama (breath), mudras (hand gestures), positive affirmations, empowering visualisations, and powerful sequences performed in a flowing and dynamic style.
It is an accessible and inclusive yoga for everyone, with modifications made to suit everyone’s needs.
Dru is a holistic style of yoga working on connecting your mind, body and spirit with opportunities for improved health, wellness, self-awareness and healing.
I’m a Trauma Sensitive and Dru Yoga facilitator with a particular focus on back care and wellbeing. I am also an Embodied Yoga Facilitator.
I facilitate yoga to give people opportunities to possibly experience wellbeing and better health. Opportunities also exist to create internal and external connections between their mind and body, contributing to healing from trauma. There is potential for harmony between mind, body and spirit, supporting peace and balance in their lives.
